Here is a little update from Grade Six, Room 302.  This year, so far, the Sixth Graders have been studying Life Science. Mainly we studied cells, both plant and animal. We looked at the different parts. Sixth Graders know the processes of mitosis and meiosis too. The most exciting part, though, was viewing cells under the microscopes!  We are now about to start a new unit in Physical Science. Recently, we made electric motors. Now we are going to look at matter.

In Religion we have been studying the Old Testament. This started with the creation stories in the book of Genesis. Now, we are starting to learn about the greatest man of the Old Testament, Moses. I have been very impressed that many of the students have some prior knowledge of these stories.

Also, we are learning that God reveals information about Jesus, from the New Testament, to the live of some people in the Old Testament.
One of our most favorite activities is using the Bibles to look up Scripture references.  Most students have mastered this skill and are eager to use it. Once again, I am impressed and proud.
