Metrologo

Dear Friends,

Anyone walking through the halls of our classrooms and hallways will be treated to beautiful weavings. Some are made of yarn, some of paper, some of ribbons. All have been woven with care and thought for our school’s theme this year is

WEAVING HOPES AND DREAMS

Students have used this art form to express their own goals and visions for the future. Inscribed in one way or another are aspirations such as:

*I want to be awarded a scholarship for high school

*I plan to attend St. Ignatius High School

*if I get accepted into Central Catholic I would like to study a foreign language

*I hope to get honors all four quarters of this school year

*I want to be a vet when I grow up

*I hope to play for the NFL

*I want to make my family proud of me

It is fortunate that we have a tight-knit school community here which supports our students’ hope and dreams and encourages them to dream. Graduates of Metro Catholic are now enrolled in major colleges and universities across the nation and some have already taken their place in the medical profession, the legal profession and the education profession.

Children come to us with dreams begun in the home. We give them skills and courage to pursue them and to weave a life of success and meaning.

Come and visit us sometime….we love to give tours. Who knows…maybe your own hopes and dreams will be rekindled!!
